Driver ‘threatened with a wrench’ in Derbyshire road rage incident

Derbyshire police are appealing for witnesses after a road rage incident between two drivers in Derbyshire. The incident, which happened in Langley Mill, saw two drivers at odds after nearly colliding.

Both were on Derby Road, just off a roundabout from the A610 when the incident happened. The complainant was coming off the roundabout when a blue coloured SUV pulled out in front of him.

Whilst both vehicles stopped before colliding, the complainant claims that the driver of the SUV got out of the car and made threats towards him while holding what appeared to be a wrench.

A spokesperson for Derbyshire Police said: “We are appealing for witnesses to reports of a driver who threatened another driver in Langley Mill. The incident happened just before 1.15pm on Monday 28 March, on Derby Road, just off a roundabout from the A610.

“The area would have been busy around that time and would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the incident, have dashcam footage or with any information which could help with enquiries.
