A busy Derbyshire dual carriageway is closed in one direction on Tuesday morning after a lorry ended up on its roof. The A50 westbound is currently shut following the incident between Junction 24 of the M1, which connects to the A453 to Nottingham, and Junction 1 of the A50, for the B6540 Tamworth Road towards Long Eaton.
Traffic monitoring site Inrix says traffic in the area is slow with Highways England reporting that traffic officers and emergency vehicles from Leicestershire Police are in attendance. Derbyshire Live has contacted Leicestershire Police for further comment and information about the incident.
It is not yet clear if anyone has been injured and drivers should avoid the area. We will bring you updates as and when we get them.
