Live fire updates as crews battle blaze at former B&M site in Boston

Fire crews are tonight (Wednesday) battling a blaze at a former B&M retail site in Boston. Boston Borough Council first announced the fire shortly before 9.45pm at the land earmarked for the Rosegarth Square development.

In a post on social media, Boston Borough Council posted a message from the leader of the council, Coun Anne Dorrian, saying that the fire was at the “old B&M site” and that crews were working to get it under control

It said: “We are aware of the fire at the old B&M site and want to assure everyone that we are in the capable hands of professional firefighters who are working diligently to extinguish the blaze. Our primary concern is the safety of everyone in the vicinity, and we hope that anyone who was in the area is safe.

“Further investigations will commence once the fire is under control. Thank you for your understanding and co-operation.”
