Man charged with stalking young woman in Derbyshire village

A man who was arrested on suspicion of following a young woman in a Derbyshire village has now been charged with stalking offences. The 37-year-old was arrested in North Wingfield, on the outskirts of Chesterfield, on Friday, March 11, on suspicion of stalking a woman in her 20s.

He was subsequently questioned by police and charged with stalking offences. The man, who hasn’t been named by officers, appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, March 16, and has been remanded to prison.
