Middle-aged man arrested after lucky cannabis find

A middle-aged man has been arrested after police discovered a number of suspected cannabis plants at his home in a quiet Kirk Hallam street. Officers were called to an unrelated incident at the property, in Wirksworth Road, where they found the suspected illegal growth.

The man has since been released, but remains under investigation. Speaking on the incident, Derbyshire police said: “Officers were called to an unrelated incident at a property in Wirksworth Road on 16 August when a number of suspected cannabis plants were found.

A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the production of cannabis and has since been released under investigation.”
