As part of the National Open Garden Scheme, dozens of people are opening up their private gardens in Lincolnshire to help raise money for charities across the UK. Until October there will be 35 private gardens open in the county, which are usually not open to the public.
The gardens will each have individual opening dates, times and prices. Of the gardens opening up, 10 of them are classed as historical, 17 are dog-friendly and seven are also child-friendly.
This scheme takes place for a few months each year to help raise money for various charities. In 2023 more than £3.4 million was donated by the scheme to a number of causes, including Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Hospice UK and The Queen’s Nursing Institute.
