Officers are appealing for information after a report that a van driver was driving dangerously in North Hykeham. On Wednesday, May 22, a van was reported to Lincolnshire Police for driving fast and carrying out “dangerous overtakes” at speed.
The incident happened at around 6.20am and officers would now like to speak to anyone who witnessed a van travelling at excess speed on Meadow Lane, Chapel Lane, Moor Lane and Station Road. A Facebook post by Hykeham and Bracebridge Heath Police states: “Police are appealing for witnesses to an allegation of dangerous driving by a van driver in North Hykeham.
“Were you travelling on Meadow Lane in North Hykeham at around 0620hrs today (Wednesday 22nd May) and onward to Chapel Lane, Moor Lane and Station Road in North Hykeham? Police are interested to hear of anyone witnessing a van travelling at excess speed on all of these roads carrying out dangerous overtakes at speed on approach to and over junctions.”
It continues: “Police are particularly interested in hearing from a driving instructor who may have dashcam footage of being overtaken dangerously on a junction on Station Road in North Hykeham.
