New pictures have given customers a sneak peek at the big changes made during a major revamp at a prominent Derby pub ahead of its reopening tonight.
The two-week revamp costing just over £285,000 is now complete and the Duffield Road venue reopens at 6pm tonight, Tuesday, February 8 with a fully-booked invite only evening.
General manager Matt Vincent and his partner Gemma King are looking forward to welcoming customers back as usual opening times return from 11am tomorrow morning, Wednesday, February 9.
Matt, who has been running the pub with Gemma since September, 2017, said: “It’s amazing to see how well it has all come together.
“The builders and designers have done a outstanding job. Myself, Gemma and the team are excited and extremely proud to welcome all our guests, new and old, back. We look forward to seeing everyone soon.”
Gemma, says they have also been able to create five new jobs, increasing the total workforce there to more than 20 people.
Speaking about the changes which have been made during the refurbishment, she said: “Some areas have a gentleman’s feel but some areas have a gastropub feel.
“The areas are dressed with different styles of furniture to make comfortable dining and drinking for all.
“It’s modern but rustic using lots of light natural woods, and more open, giving a natural flow throughout. All toilets have been stripped back to brick and are all new.
“The guests are definitely going to see a huge improvement.”
