The unique Lincolnshire festival where you can enjoy Michelin star food in an enchanted woodland

A unique Lincolnshire music festival takes place this weekend where you can have food served up by Michelin starred chefs while exploring an enchanted woodland. Founded in 2015, Lost Village is a surreal festival experience that takes place in a secluded woodland near the village of Norton Disney.

The four-day event focuses on forward-thinking music, art, food, immersive theatre, comedy, talks and workshops. This year, it takes place from Thursday, August 22 to Sunday, August 25. Tickets for 2024 have sold out but you can already sign up for priority access for next year’s festival.

Festival-goers will spend the weekend exploring an abandoned woodland village, venturing through winding pathways and uncovering all manner of surprises. Indie rock band Bombay Bicycle Club are among the music acts performing at the festival, as well as a special secret headliner.

A weekend ticket for the festival is £305 and there is prepitched camping available from £165. The boutique sanctuary, which is tucked away in its own private part of the village, has prices starting at £895.

Over the next four years, Lost Village has committed at least £250,000 for Lincolnshire communities, infrastructure and charity projects, raised through donations from festival itself, along with contributions from festival attendees, performers and guests. The money will contribute to projects close to the hearts of local residents and parish councils, as well as the founders of Lost Village, who grew up in Lincolnshire.

The festival is estimated to bring in over £2m to local businesses and projects this year, with roughly £1.1million spent by the festival itself in the local area. A further £900,000 is estimated to be spent by those traveling to and from the event, making use of local shops, supermarkets, taxis, trains, B&Bs, local hotels and other activities.

Head of economic development at Lincolnshire County Council, Mary Powell said: “Lost Village is drawing in visitors from all over the country and this event is achieving both returners and new visitors. A quality event like Lost Village is very important to the Lincolnshire economy and is great at raising awareness of our lovely county.”

Lost Village has won many accolades and is recognised as a key springboard for emerging musicians, with artists such as Barry Can’t Swim, Folamour and Loyle Carner all playing at the festival long before they became global stars.
