Two-vehicle A46 crash led to road closure in both directions near Lincoln

Motorists faced disruption on a major Lincolnshire road after a two-vehicle crash. The incident took place on the A46 Lincoln Bypass between the Doddington and Skellingthorpe roundabouts and caused delays in the area.

Traffic was moving slowly after the incident and the road was closed in both directions, but has since reopened. Emergency services were at the scene. There was congestion to the Whisby Road roundabout for traffic heading northbound and southbound was backed up to the Carholme Roundabout.

Routes around Skellingthorpe were also congested as traffic sought an alternative. Injuries were reported from the scene but are not believed to be serious.
