A man is being questioned over a series of alleged robberies across Nottingham.
The attacks, which are currently being linked by detectives, were said to have taken place between Sunday, February 13, and Wednesday, February 16 in the Radford, Aspley and Basford areas of the city.
Victims were reportedly punched in the face by a man who tried to steal their bags and phones.
One victim was allegedly hit over the head with a brick before their bag was taken.
Bags were reportedly stolen during two of the six violent incidents.
Police arrested a 34-year-old man on Wednesday (February 16) on suspicion of robbery and attempted robbery in connection with the investigation.
He is also being questioned in relation to an alleged burglary at a property in Basford Road, Old Basford, between Tuesday and Wednesday.
Detective Sergeant Franco Guddemi, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Our priority is to keep people safe which is why the force treats all reports of robbery and burglary incredibly seriously and work tirelessly to ensure those responsible for such harmful crimes are brought to justice.
“I hope this arrest reassures people of our dedication and commitment in actively investigating reports of this type.
“While I am pleased we have arrested a suspect our enquiries into these incidents remain ongoing, including reviewing CCTV footage, and we will continue to work hard to protect the public and reduce violence in our communities.”
