Lincolnshire Police have found no suspicious circumstances related to the death of a 67-year-old woman who died following a house fire. The emergency services were called to a property on Lincoln Road, North Hyekham, on Saturday, June 22, after receiving reports of a fire.
The blaze broke out around 11am and was attended by Lincolnshire Police and Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue. A woman sustained serious injuries and was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre for treatment, but sadly she died on Sunday, June 23.
A 36-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman were arrested in connection to the incident, but they were both released with no further action. A post-mortem examination has now taken place, and the force has confirmed it is satisfied that there were no suspicious circumstances related to the woman’s death.
A file is now being prepared for the coroner and the woman’s next of kin have been updated.
