Lincolnshire Police have sealed off part of a high street after a ‘suspicious item’ believed to be a mortar round has been found. The public have been told to avoid the area in Caythorpe.
Lincolnshire Police said: “A 100-metre cordon is being set-up from the High Street in Caythorpe after a suspicious item, believed to be a mortar round, was found. The Explosive Ordance Disposal (EOD) Team have been called out and the area is being evacuated. Please avoid the area.”
