Normanby Hall Country Park voted best place in Lincolnshire for a day out with the kids

Normanby Hall Country Park has been voted the best place in Lincolnshire for a day out with the kids by our readers. The award-winning tourist attraction, based in Normanby near Scunthorpe, came out on top in our shortlist poll, beating Sundown Adventureland, Skegness Beach, and Wolds Wildlife Park.

Built in 1825, Normanby Hall is a Regency mansion which features displays telling the history of the house and the Sheffield family, who it was once home to. There is also an early 19th century walled garden which has been restructured to allow greater accessibility for visitors to immerse themselves in the flowers and vegetable produce in the beds.

Whether its having fun in the adventure playground, boarding the unique miniature railway or soaring through the trees on Go Ape, there is plenty to keep the family entertained all day long. When the children are worn out, you can take a relaxing stroll through the Rural Life Museum. Visitors can follow the farming year from seed to harvest and explore the tools and techniques that were used to manage the land.
